2026 Report
Best Bookkeeping Lead Services: 2026 Report
Eight services that sell bookkeeping and accounting firms new clients, scored on risk, exclusivity, screening, pricing transparency and speed.
A bookkeeping lead service is a company that sells bookkeeping and accounting firms new client conversations: Leads, booked appointments, or a managed outbound program. This report scores eight services that sell to bookkeeping and accounting firms, on the same five-part scorecard we use in our performance lead generation rankings. Upcision publishes this page and ranks first, so every weight and score is printed below for you to check.
Quick answer: Upcision ranks first at 4.45 for exclusive leads and appointments priced per result. Belkins (3.90) has the deepest screening, TopLead (3.65) is the pick for pay-per-appointment with a CPA focus, and Abstrakt Marketing Group (3.55) is the accounting specialist with one firm per market. The gap from first to second is 0.55 points.
The scorecard
Five criteria, weighted: Risk 30%, exclusivity 25%, screening 20%, pricing transparency 15%, speed to first results 10%. Risk is anchored: 5 means you pay per result, 4 a contracted count, 3 a retainer with a stated commitment, 2 a standard monthly fee, 1 a fixed internal cost. Belkins and SalesRoads carry the same scores they hold in our other rankings.
| Service | Risk (30%) | Exclusivity (25%) | Screening (20%) | Transparency (15%) | Speed (10%) | Weighted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Upcision | 5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 4.45 |
| Belkins | 3 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3.90 |
| TopLead | 5 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 3.65 |
| Abstrakt Marketing Group | 3 | 5 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 3.55 |
| SalesRoads | 3 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 3.45 |
| Bark | 5 | 1 | 1 | 4 | 5 | 3.05 |
| Stealth Agents | 2 | 4 | 2 | 5 | 3 | 3.05 |
| CFE Marketing Services | 2 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 2.75 |
We found three things in this table:
- No service wins every column. Belkins beats Upcision on screening, Stealth Agents wins transparency with a printed price, and Bark wins speed.
- Bark ties Stealth Agents at 3.05 for opposite reasons. Bark is pay per lead but shared and unscreened; Stealth Agents is fully yours but you run it.
- The result moves with the weights. Weight screening above risk and Belkins closes to within about a quarter point of first place.
What each service charges
| Service | Model | Published pricing | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upcision | Pay per lead or appointment | Quoted per result; no retainer | G2 4.9 (8 reviews) |
| Belkins | Monthly appointment packages | Not published; plans by yearly meeting targets (30+, 100+, 200+) | Clutch 4.9 (234) |
| TopLead | Pay per verified appointment | Custom packages; no figures | None shown |
| Abstrakt Marketing Group | Managed outbound program | Not published; about $5,000–$7,000 a month as reported by a review site | Clutch 4.7 (43, as reported) |
| SalesRoads | Monthly SDR program | From $6,950 per 4 weeks (part-time SDR) | Clutch 4.9 (69) |
| Bark | Shared lead credits | $1.80 per credit; leads take 3 to 20+ credits, about $5–$36 | Trustpilot 3.8 (112,066); G2 1.7 (341) |
| Stealth Agents | Dedicated appointment setter | $1,600 a month, full time | Not checked |
| CFE Marketing Services | Pilot, then monthly | Custom per project | None found |
We found three things in this table:
- Only three of the eight have a public dollar figure. Buyers comparing the rest should ask for the price per signed client, not the monthly fee.
- Review volume says more about firm size than quality. Bark has over 112,000 Trustpilot reviews and a 1.7 on G2; most specialists have under 250 reviews.
- The lowest sticker price is a shared lead at about $5. In our bookkeeping conversion data, shared leads become clients only 3%–8% of the time.
What a signed client costs by model
The fee matters less than what each signed client costs. These bands are the same ones in our bookkeeping CAC report; this library keeps one number per fact.
| Model | Cost per signed client | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Referral program | $100–$700 | Lowest cost, capped by referral volume |
| Shared marketplaces | $400–$3,000 | Plus heavy unpaid sales time |
| Exclusive screened leads | $1,000–$4,000 | Converting at 10%–15%; scales with budget |
| Paid search | $2,100–$13,000+ | The priciest common path |
A monthly bookkeeping client is worth $30,000 to $120,000+ over a five-to-seven-year life, so every row fits under the $2,000–$6,000 first-year ceiling at 3-to-1 except paid search.
1. Upcision
Model: Pay per lead and pay per appointment, no retainers.
Upcision sells bookkeeping and accounting firms exclusive leads and booked appointments with business owners, billed per result. Firms approve the targeting before launch, so the price is tied to the clients they actually want. Campaigns have run across 14 B2B verticals since 2019 for clients from SMB to Fortune 500.
Consider another option when: You want an agency team to run your whole outbound program week to week. Upcision delivers the conversations; your firm runs the sales calls.
2. Belkins
Model: Monthly appointment-setting packages sold by yearly meeting targets.
Belkins outscores every service here on screening, including Upcision, and holds a 4.9 on Clutch across 234 reviews. It sits second because billing is monthly, so a slow month costs the buyer more than the vendor, and because it is not accounting-specific.
Wins against Upcision when: You want a managed program across email and LinkedIn with an account team setting the rhythm.
3. TopLead
Model: Pay per verified appointment, focused on CPA and accounting firms.
TopLead charges only when a verified meeting with an owner, CFO or controller lands on your calendar, and it replaces no-shows at no extra cost. That puts it at the top of the risk column. It loses ground on transparency, with custom packages and no published figures.
Wins against Upcision when: You want meetings only, never leads, from a shop with a CPA-focused offer.
4. Abstrakt Marketing Group
Model: Managed outbound for accounting firms, one firm per market.
Abstrakt has worked with accounting firms for over fifteen years and takes only one accounting firm per market, which earns it a top exclusivity score. Pricing is not on its site; a review site reports about $5,000 to $7,000 a month for outbound.
Wins against Upcision when: You want a long-term agency partner with territory protection and a team that calls, emails and mails for you.
5. SalesRoads
Model: US-based SDR programs billed every four weeks.
SalesRoads publishes its price, from $6,950 per four weeks for a part-time SDR, and lets clients cancel anytime. Its live-calling bench is a real asset for firms whose buyers answer the phone. It is not accounting-specific, and the minimum project on Clutch is $10,000+.
Wins against Upcision when: Your buyers answer the phone and you want a dedicated US calling team.
6. Bark
Model: Shared lead credits on a consumer and small-business marketplace.
Bark is the fastest way to get a lead today, at about $5 to $36 each. The trade is that several firms get the same request, and no outside screening is done. It scores a 5 on risk only because you pay per lead; it scores a 1 on both exclusivity and screening.
Wins against Upcision when: You want small one-off jobs this week and have time to call fast and often.
7. Stealth Agents
Model: A dedicated full-time appointment setter for a flat monthly fee.
Stealth Agents prints its price, $1,600 a month for a full-time setter, and names CPA and bookkeeping firms as clients. You get a person, not a result, so you set the lists, the scripts and the bar for a good meeting.
Wins against Upcision when: You have a sales process that works and want a low-cost person to run it under your direction.
8. CFE Marketing Services
Model: A one-month pilot, then month to month with one month’s notice.
CFE books consultations for accounting and CPA firms and screens each one for budget, authority, need and timeline. The short pilot lowers the risk of trying it. Pricing is custom, and no review signals were found.
Wins against Upcision when: You want to test an appointment program for one month before committing.

Two directories send leads for free and were not scored. QuickBooks Find-a-ProAdvisor lists certified ProAdvisors at no cost, and the Xero advisor directory matches each business with three advisors. Both are shared by design, so they work best as a profile you keep current, not a growth plan.
Conclusions
- Compare price per signed client, not price per lead. A $5 shared lead and a screened exclusive lead are different products with different close rates.
- Match the model to your capacity. Per-result services suit firms with a closer ready; managed programs suit firms buying a whole outbound team.
- Check any ranking’s weights, including this one. Re-weight the scorecard for your firm and a different service can reasonably come out on top.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best bookkeeping lead service in 2026?
- In this evaluation, Upcision ranks first at 4.45 for exclusive leads and appointments priced per result. Belkins (3.90) has the deepest screening, TopLead (3.65) sells pay-per-appointment with a CPA focus, and Abstrakt Marketing Group (3.55) is the accounting specialist with one firm per market.
- How much do bookkeeping leads cost?
- Shared marketplace leads on Bark cost about $5-$36 each. Abstrakt’s outbound is reported at about $5,000-$7,000 a month, and SalesRoads starts at $6,950 per four weeks. Per result, an exclusive screened lead program brings a signed client for $1,000-$4,000, against client lifetime values of $30,000-$120,000+.
- Are shared bookkeeping leads worth buying?
- Rarely as a growth plan. A shared lead goes to several firms at once, so only 3%-8% become clients, and the sales time adds up. They suit small one-off jobs when a firm can call back within minutes.
- Is pay per appointment better than a retainer for accounting firms?
- It moves the risk to the vendor: You pay only when a meeting or lead lands. Retainers suit firms that want a managed program and an account team. The risk column in the scorecard is the fair way to compare them.
